Sales Policies and Information

Factory direct sales to the USA and Canada: For the United States and Canada, Ten-Tec stopped using the traditional amateur radio dealer network in 1992 to go to exclusive factory direct sales. Equipment for shipment to addresses in the U.S.A. and Canada can be ordered via our website store or by calling (800) 833-7373 or (865) 453-7172.

International dealers: Ten-Tec has dealers in a number of countries outside of North America. Click here for the current international dealer listing. In countries outside the U.S.A. and Canada where we have no dealer, you have the option of using one of our international dealers or purchasing from Ten-Tec factory direct. We do not accept factory direct orders from countries where we have an active dealer.

Financing: Ten-Tec offers a financing plan on purchases of $800 or more. We charge a non-refundable 5% fee for financing equipment. Using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express, you can elect to spread the cost of equipment over a four month period. The first payment charged to your card is 1/4 of the purchase price, plus the 5% fee, plus shipping. At that time, we will ship your gear. We will then charge your credit card 30, 60, and 90 days later for 1/4 of the purchase price.

30 day return policy: All new and demo (non-kit) Ten-Tec equipment sold factory direct is sold on a 30 day trial period. If within 30 days of purchase you decide not to keep the equipment it may be returned to us for a purchase price refund, less shipping charges. Please call our sales department at (800) 833-7373 or (865) 453-7172 and request a return merchandise authorization number – this will greatly speed up the processing of your refund. Return items to Ten-Tec, 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862. Include a note with any returned equipment with your name, address, and telephone number and the RMA number. For equipment sold through our international dealers, it is at their discretion to set their own sales and return policies.

Return policy for kits: Ten-Tec T-kits may be evaluated for 30 days. As long as no construction has begun and parts have not been mixed and require re-sorting, kits can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full purchase price refund, less shipping charges. Partially built or opened and jumbled kits will not be accepted for refund. See above for instructions on return merchandise authorization numbers.

Return policy for non-Ten-Tec equipment sold by us: Equipment sold by Ten-Tec that is of other manufacture is subject to a 10 day evaluation period. Any non-Ten-Tec piece of equipment returned for refund within 10 days will be taken for refund if returned with all original packing material in “as new” condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and refunds are less shipping charges. Exceptions: non-Ten-Tec linear amplifiers, cut to order wire and cut to order coaxial cable are not returnable. Antennas are only returnable as long as no installation or construction has been attempted or made.

Warranty on Ten-Tec equipment, all except Europe: New and demo Ten-Tec equipment purchased directly from Ten-Tec in the U.S. is warrantied parts and labor for 12 months from date of purchase. Purchaser pays inbound shipping to us for warranty repair, we pay shipping to return the repaired equipment to you by UPS ground service or equivalent to the continental USA and Canada. Alaska, Hawaii and outside U.S. and Canada actual return shipping cost paid by owner. The only warranty exception is for the model 238B antenna tuner and the 417A Titan III linear amplifier, which are warrantied for three years parts and labor, under these same terms. Used equipment sold by Ten-Tec is warrantied for 30 days, parts and labor, under these same terms.

Warranty on non-Ten-Tec equipment sold by us: Warranties are administered by the manufacturing company. We do not service non-Ten-Tec equipment.

Factory store information: Ten-Tec operates a retail store at our factory location with a lobby showroom. All Ten-Tec equipment and equipment from other manufacturers that we retail is available on display and for sale and purchases may be made and picked up in person (all in person pickups are subject to 9.5% Tennessee sales tax). Our “ham shack” attached to the lobby showroom features 4 HF and VHF operating positions, yagis for 2 and 6 meters, a rotary 10/15/20 meter triband beam antenna on a tower and low band dipoles. You are welcome to visit our store and use the radio equipment — our store is open daily Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time except major holidays. Ten-Tec is located 2 1/2 miles east of Sevierville, TN on the right side of U.S. Highway 411 north, directly across the street from Sevier County High School.
