The model 238B L-network antenna tuner is the most heavy duty, versatile transmatch available today. No competitors tuner can provide a lower insertion loss or wider versatility in tuning range than the 238B. ARRL rated it the lowest loss tuner in their high power tuner review article of February 2003 which featured side-by-side comparisons of the 238B and tuners from MFJ, Palstar, Ameritron, and Vectronics.
