NEW! Introducing the Ten-Tec model 610 USB Keyer/Audio Interface.
The 610 is designed to enhance Omni VII remote transceiver operation by allowing your existing CW paddle, microphone and/or headset to be used with the transceiver when in remote mode.
Conventional “main tuning knob” tuning can be done with a remoted Omni VII by connecting the model 302R remote encoder/keypad to the 610. Model 610 connects to your PC’s USB port and soundcard and integrates seamlessly with the Ten-Tec One Plug program for Internet-remote operation of the transceiver.
When the 610 is used with a CW paddle, it will decipher the CW being sent and turn it into keyboard codes that are sent to the PC. The One Plug GUI can then send the characters to the transceiver where they are reconverted into CW. This allows for natural CW operation, while maintaining a consistent clean CW flow independent of PC or network delays.
Model 610 can interface with the Ten-Tec 302R remote encoder/keypad to provide a tuning knob, numeric keypad and special function keys. It also contains a microphone connection and headphone interface which allows the use of standard headphones or headsets with integrated microphone as well as a traditional microphone with PTT.
The internal speaker and audio amplifier with a front panel volume control give you full local control of the audio without the need to resort to PC audio controls.
While designed for remote (non-local) operation with the Omni VII, the 610 can also be used when the transceiver is in remote state and is connected directly to a PC in your ham shack via an Ethernet cable.
In stock now and available at $169.
The operation manual is now available for download.
