Since 1968, Ten-Tec has been the technology leader in the Amateur Radio industry. In our 40 years of service to the ham community, we have scored a significant number of “firsts” – more so than any other company involved in the hobby today.
We were first with an all-solid state QRP HF transceiver (1970), the first full legal limit solid-state linear amplifier (1980), the first rig to use a mode-appropriate roofing filter (1988), first company to offer a full legal-limit capable automatic antenna tuner (1989), released the first rig with built-in DSP (1992), first “black box” HF DSP receiver (1998) and first “black box” HF DSP transceiver (1999). Our tradition of innovation continues today with the first Ethernet-remoteable HF transceiver, the Omni-VII.
Information on our product lines for Amateur Radio is shown above. We offer HF transceivers, linear amplifiers, receivers, kits, a high power antenna tuner and numerous accessories. Click the picture of each to be taken to the information pages. We also have customer service and sales representatives (licensed hams, of course!) for new equipment available at (800) 833-7373 from 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday-Friday. Information and tech support for older equipment and kit construction is available by calling (865) 453-7172.
Ten-Tec also operates a retail store at our factory location with a lobby showroom. All Ten-Tec equipment and equipment from other manufacturers that we retail is available on display and for sale and purchases may be made and picked up in person. All in person pickups are subject to 9.5% Tennessee sales tax. Our “ham shack” attached to the lobby showroom features 4 HF and VHF operating positions, yagis for 2 and 6 meters, a rotary 10/15/20 meter triband beam antenna on a tower and low band dipoles. You are welcome to visit our store and use the radio equipment — our store is open daily Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time except major holidays. Our street address is 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.
